Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
The theory behind Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) follows that our health is
directly affected by our surroundings (i.e. lifestyle, emotions,
seasons,
environment).
When disease occurs, the delicate balance between the body's internal energy
and
external forces is out of harmony. TMC can help prevent and treat disease by readjusting the body´s energy known as "Qi" and restore balance. Qi runs through channels called meridians and connects the flow of energy between our organs.
TCM includes other modalities such as cupping, herbal formulas, and Tai Chi to aid in the support of the proper flow of Qi.
